In 1857, botanist Gustave Thuret created a remarkable 3.5 hectare garden around his house in Cap d’Antibes. Today, the park is home to scientific research on the acclimatisation of plants and is open every weekday for the public to admire its exceptional collections. The landscape garden has retained its original design and shows 1,600 species of exotic trees and shrubs. There are some splendid palms and conifers and a 38m-high eucalyptus with an impeccable white trunk!
The botanical gardens are open 8:30 – 17:30 except on weekends and the entry is free.
