Q-Park La Poste car park a short walk from Antibes Old Town

Key rules at a glance

  • On-street (voirie):

    • 1 hour free per day per vehicle (take a free ticket at the meter).

    • Free: Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, 12:00–14:00, and 18:00–09:00.

    • The city lists around 1,800 free on-street spaces across the commune.

  • Accessibility & EVs: Blue Badge holders and electric vehicles park free on street.

  • Good on-street options near the train station on Avenue Robert Soleau.

Old Town (Vieil Antibes)

Largely pedestrian. Spaces are scarce and only when the streets are allowed for vehicles.

Drop-off routines:

  • When not fully pedestrian: at the level of Beer Shop, 3 Cours Masséna (≈100 m to Picasso apartments), is a good option.

  • When fully pedestrian (~15:30–01:00): Rue Aubernon (Remparts gate), ≈4-minute walk.

Closest car parks:

  • Q-Park Pré-aux-Pêcheurs (Avenue de Verdun) — central; first hour free. Day and multi-day prices vary—pre-booking often reduces the weekly rate significantly versus paying day-by-day. Check live rates before you arrive.

  • Q-Park La Poste (Rue Vauban) — a short walk to the Marché Provençal; first hour free; day and weekly prices vary. Pre-booking often lowers the total if you need multiple days. Check live rates before you arrive.

Prefer certainty? Book a flat with a private space, this is rare in Antibes Old Town.

Juan-les-Pins (beach side)

Seafront demand peaks on sunny days and summer evenings. Look one or two streets back from the promenade for calmer parking streets.

Seasonal: several open-air seafront car parks (e.g., Courbet, Dulys) switch to paid in summer; outside summer they are often free (check signs).

Stay with parking:

Cap d’Antibes (coves & coastal path)

Gorgeous but narrow roads; bays are limited near the Sentier de Tire-Poil.

  • Arrive early or later in the afternoon.

  • Salis car park is paid 1 June–30 Sept, typically free outside those dates.

Free park-&-ride + free shuttle to the centre

Use these if you won’t need the car daily:

  • Fort Carré P+R — ~150 places, 1.90 m height, typically 48 h limit; free.

  • Bouygues P+R — ~120 places, 1.90 m height, typically 48 h limit; free.

  • A free shuttle runs 7 days/week from these car parks to the centre/Old Town; frequency is higher in summer and hours are extended in peak.

EV charging, accessibility & payments

  • EVs: on-street parking is free for electric vehicles; public charging points exist at larger facilities. Carry your app/cable.

  • Blue Badge/PRM: on-street free with badge; municipal car parks provide designated spaces near lifts/exits.

  • Meters: take the 1-hour free ticket at the meter; most accept bank cards (alphanumeric keypad).
