Antibes through the eyes of Claude Monet

Updated: 1 day ago

The fort, sea, mountains and rocks of Antibes inspired Claude Monet. In 1888, he came here from Paris and although he only stayed four months, he completed thirty-nine paintings.

He was very sensitive to the way the weather and the light would influence the landscape. On some of the canvasses below, you will notice that he also excelled in painting trees.
